Credence has an immediate need for a Software Architect to support large-scale digital modernization efforts for mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems with massive national impact. The architect will address complex challenges of systems integration, multi-platform compatibility, and application scalability, ensuring solutions meet both technical and business needs. This role is responsible for conducting feasibility analyses for future projects, setting design direction, and ensuring projects are completed successfully. Candidates should bring deep expertise in software design and development, experience with modern architectures and integration strategies, and the ability to translate enterprise requirements into reliable, efficient, and innovative software solutions. This position is based in Credence’s corporate offices located in Tyson’s Corner in McLean, VA or Dayton OH. This role is slated to kick off in Sept 2025.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Designs and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects for management.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Five (5) years relevant experience
  • Ability to work and produce results in an agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlines.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle and Modern DevSecOps Software Delivery
  • Be experienced in the design, development, and integration of enterprise level software applications.
  • Possess an understanding of the entire software stack, software architecture, data architecture, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working within the Federal government and/or DoD
  • Possess an understanding of Agile software development processes.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

Additional Qualifications Preferred:

  • Locals Preferred
  • Active Public Trust /Secret Clearance preferred.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Primary Location: McLean VA

Hours on-site: Monday – Friday
