Credence has an immediate need for a Journeyman Logistics Equipment Specialist to support our Fixed Wing Branch at Robins Air Force base, GA .

The Fixed Wing Branch (AFLCMC/WIUA) provides cradle-to-grave acquisition, modification and sustainment support for all SOF C-130 variant weapon systems and subsystems supporting five USAF Major Commands (MAJCOMs). The Lead Command for most of the AFLCMC/WIUA activities is Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), which falls under the unified command of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). AFLCMC/WIUA also supports Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), and Air National Guard (ANG). The Rotary Wing Branch (AFLCMC/WIUB) provides cradle-to-grave acquisition and sustainment for all USAF helicopters. The branch coordinates acquisition, modification, and lifecycle sustainment to include avionics, depot maintenance, repair, spares procurement, engineering support, configuration control, and reliability/maintainability and obsolescence programs for fielded systems. AFLCMC/WIUB supports Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Air Force Reserve Center (AFRC), Air National Guard (ANG), Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), and the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW).

 

Logistics Equipment Specialist personnel must be proficient with the systems/programs such as, but not limited to, Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Aging Fleet Integrity and Reliability Management (AFIRM), Engineering Data Information Server (EDIS), Enhanced Technical Management System (ETIMS), Item Management Control System (IMCS), Joint Engineering Data Management Information Control System (JEDMICS), PubLog, Product Data Systems Support (PDSS), Planned Depot Maintenance (PDM) Gateway, and Technical Manual Information System (TMIS).

In addition, the Contractor will demonstrate proficiency in reading, interpreting, and researching technical data and product drawings.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Aircraft Modification Support
    • Assist the Government in supporting, coordinating, and scheduling aircraft modifications and Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) related activities including but not limited to site/aircraft surveys, major inspections, trial installations, physical configuration inspections, physical configuration audits, kit proofs and production installations.
    • Apply knowledge of SOF/PR aircraft to assist the Government with providing on-aircraft technical expertise, advice, assistance, and support.
    • Will travel to CONUS/OCONUS Government locations or weapon system contractor facilities to assist the Government with providing maintenance assistance, support, problem resolution and modification program development and field support visits. For those positions, the Contractor will maintain access to flight line and hangars, maintain driver's privileges for industrial area and flight line, and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) safety.
    • Provide Personal Protective Equipment to the employee including but not limited to ear protection, and steel-toed boots.
  • Technical Orders
    • Assist the Government with providing logistical and technical expertise, including but not limited to evaluation of organizational, intermediate, commodity, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and depot Technical Orders (TOs) affected by common or unique modifications. This includes Technical Orders (TOs) for system, subsystem, or support equipment development for, or modified as a result of, modifications programs.
    • Assist the Government in the review and verification of Technical Orders (TOs); the specific information will be verifiable through direct access to the affected avionics systems, weapons system platform, operators, and maintainers and will be submitted in the form of attachments to the technical reports. In addition, the Contractor will review and provide source data for Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) to ensure technical validity.
  • Technical Order Research
    • Assist the Government with providing logistical and technical expertise in researching Technical Orders (TOs), associated data for completeness, correctness, and accuracy, and providing recommended changes.
    • Assist by researching data to ensure adequate and accurate information is available in the development of Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCR) documents.
    • Will attend data calls and interpret data item requirements.
  • Technical Source Data Packages
    • Assist the Government with providing logistical and technical expertise with a variety of tasks regarding Source Data Packages (SDPs), including but not limited to review of SDPs and providing recommendations to the Government for acceptance/rejection prior to integration and alignment into existing Technical Orders (TOs).
    • Determine the effects of each package on existing On-Equipment Maintenance Set (OEMS) data, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), and conventional Technical Orders (TOs) to ascertain its impact until the conventional Technical Orders (TOs) are rescinded.
    • Prepare and maintain a Technical Order (TO) status log to provide the overall technical manual status of the SOF/PR weapon systems.
    • Prepare a technical report fully documenting recommendations based on the results of studies and analyses required by this Technical Order (TO) status log.
  • Drawings
    • Assist the Government with reviewing documents, drawings and engineering technical data generated to resolve deficiencies at system/subsystem levels.
    • Prepare written recommendations necessary for Technical Order (TO) changes as the result of Government research projects, aircraft modifications, and other items impacting the Technical Orders (TOs).
  • Assist the Government with management of Government Furnished Materiel (GFM) for all aircraft in repair, overhaul, and modification at Contractor facilities.
  • Assist the Government with update and maintenance of documentation/storage records, coordination of destination and shipping mode, development of shipping documents, and coordinating movement, handling and shipping.
  • Assist the Government in the preparation of Appendix B (Government Property Management), which identifies required parts needed by Contractor to support or repair/modify aircraft.
  • Assist the Government by ensuring only authorized material is ordered to support repair/modification of aircraft.
  • Assist the Government by tracking the cost of the Government Furnished Materiel (GFM) for each aircraft to prevent loss of funds.
  • Assist the Government by providing logistics trade studies, life cycle cost analysis, supportability and budget/cost analysis as requested by the Government.
  • Assist the Government by reviewing the aircraft Support Equipment Requirements Documents (SERDS) for accuracy and completeness and will provide the results in the monthly status reports covering logistical support provided, document task status, data deliverables, contract issues and actions, provide expenditure data as well as future task requirements, update cumulative cost versus estimated costs, and prepare expenditure rate charts plotting actual and planned expenditures and man-hours used against time.
  • Assist the Government with the management and sustainment of associated aircraft to include, but not limited to maintenance analysis support, joint depot specification support, supply support, and Operational and Maintenance (O&M) budgets, and subsequent funding cycles.
  • Assist the Government in the development/updating documentation including but not limited to studies and analysis of modification related issues, provisioning lists, Acquisition Category (ACAT) documentation, Program Protection Plans, Life Cycle Management Plan (LCMP), Life Cycle Management System (LCMS), and risk management plans.
  • Assist in developing Source of Repair Analysis (SORA), market research, PWS, and/or Statements of Objectives (SOOs).

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Avionics background preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD or other United States Government (USG) ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • Has the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing.
  • Typically works independently and applies the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise.
  • Has the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program / project guidelines.
  • Work is performed independently or under the oversight of more senior Contractor employees. (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface).
