Credence has an immediate opening for a Budget Analyst who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology Civil Engineering School (AFIT/CE) at WPAFB, OH. 

 

AFIT/CE is the Air Force's sole provider of professional continuing education courses in the area of civil engineering. With more than 70 courses and seminars, the school plans, develops, and conducts resident and distance learning courses and programs to satisfy the professional continuing educational needs of civil engineer customers from the Air Force, DoD, and other federal agencies. More than 5,500 students receive education from AFIT/CE each year.

The school currently offers Air Force courses ranging in length from two days to 12 weeks in the disciplines of technical civil engineer courses, environmental, engineering management, and housing.  It is also the leader in distance and blended learning education for the civil engineering workforce, providing the tools, skills, and abilities to manage the entire spectrum of a civil engineering expertise through various media and forums.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Provide budget and financial management support to the assigned Resource Advisor(s) and management to manage, monitor and execute assigned financial plans and programs.
  • Work with Resource Advisor to ensure proper expenditures and documentation are in accordance with approved Air Force policies, to include unfunded requirements, spend plans, and budget justifications, work with the Resource Advisor to ensure spend plans are up to date and accurate.
  • Work with AFIT/FM to ensure proper loading and expenditure of funds; and help provide weekly financial update and trends to Resource Advisor, as requested.
  • Other duties include the implementation and/or assistance with initiating travel orders and vouchers in the DTS.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Clearance: NACI or ability to obtain a NACI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • Experience with DEAMS financial system
  • Experience with DTS
  • Familiarity with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR)
  • Experience with DoD POM planning and purchasing processes
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
