Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Management Support and Systems Engineer MQ-9 who will be primarily responsible for supporting NGB/A5 at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. 

 

The National Guard Bureau's Plans and Requirements Directorate (NGB/A5) provides support in order to improve combat capability of the Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) as total force partners as it integrates new capabilities to meet Air Force requirements.  NGB/A5 is a small total force partner, leading an effort to rapidly and affordably improve combat capability.  NGB/A5 embeds liaisons with acquisition program offices to enable accomplishment of the NGB mission. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Perform systems engineering to include expertise in systems design and integration; manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering; airworthiness; and configuration, and data management.
  • Help develop, deploy, and maintain processes to assure weapon systems are fully integrated, manufactured, sustained, configuration managed and operationally safe, suitable and effective throughout their life cycle.
  • Understand and execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes, and issuance of flight authorizations.
  • Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes as well as provide risk assessments, safety analyses and recommendations, and address high priority safety issues.
  • Review/develop/update applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues.
  • Participate in and assist in the planning of systems engineering risk assessments by establishing a risk management review, coordinating action item status, and updating risk management metrics.
  • Support airworthiness efforts by developing and maintaining a comprehensive airworthiness criteria certification (tailored airworthiness certification criteria and/or modification airworthiness certification criteria) compliance package, and preparing an airworthiness risk assessment.
  • Support the planning and execution of the Airworthiness Review Board meeting in support of obtaining military flight releases/military type certificates.
  • Produce draft documentation as requested or necessitated by programmatic limits based on cost, schedule and performance to support the airworthiness process.
  • Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability.
  • Support performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies.
  • Support systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI
  • Master’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience five (5) years of which must be in DoD or
  • Bachelor’s degree and twelve (12) years of relevant experience (5) years of which must be in DoD or
  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, eight (8) of which must be in DoD
