Credence has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Aerial Redueling Certification Engineering Assistant who will be primarily responsible for supporting AFLCMC/EN at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.

 

The Engineering Directorate (AFLCMC/EN-EZ) has the collective AFMC mission responsibility for preeminent engineering expertise to acquire and support war-winning capabilities. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/EN-EZ, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support. 

AFLCMC/EN-EZ is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) OH with major units located at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) FL, and Hanscom AFB, (HAFB) MA, as well as additional locations across the United States (US). The Engineering Directorate is currently organized into the following divisions. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • A moderate level of expertise and experience in test management and program management is required to provide support to AFLCMC/EZFA engineers to effectively coordinate fiscal, aircraft, and manpower resources to maximize efficiency in developing and completingTechnical Compatibility Assesment's (TCAs) and providing program office support in Action Requests (AR) Modified Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC) artifact development.
  • Advise and assist AFLCMC/EZFA and USAF program office engineers in the development of data requirements for AR TCAs. The work may include participation in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and test planning working groups to ensure the data available/generated will meet the needs of TCA completion.
  • Assist AFLCMC/EZFA engineers in the interpretation of test results, authoring of TCA documentation, and transmitting of completed TCAs to United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and affected USAF program offices.
  • Advise and assist AFLCMC/EZFA and USAF program office engineers in the development of data requirements for AR MACCs. The work may include participation in technical interchange meetings, airworthiness reviews, and test planning working groups to ensure the artifacts generated will meet the needs of AR MACC completion.
  • Assist AFLCMC/EZFA engineers in the assessment of artifacts intended to show compliance with AR MACC criteria and provide advice on risk assessments for non-compliant criteria.
  • Assist AFLCMC/EZFA engineers in the development of documentation that codifies the AR certification process. The work may include Air Force Instructions (AFIs), DoDIs, Military Handbooks (MIL-HDBK) Department of Defense: Airworthiness Certification Criteria, military specifications, airworthiness bulletins and/or proposed updates to MIL-HDBK-516C.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Clearance: Secret
  • Master’s degree and ten (10) years of experience, five (5) of which must be in DoD or,
  • Bachelor’s degree and  twelve (12) years of experience, five (5) of which must be in DoD or,
  • Fifteen years (15) of relevant work experience, eight (8) of which must be in DoD
  • Provide resources with an advanced level of technical expertise and experience to render effective advice and assistance in the development of AR TCAs, including advanced understanding of USAF AR operations using the boom-receptacle and probe-drogue methods
  • Demonstrate applicable knowledge of the operational environment and developmental test
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with KC-46, KC-135 and/or KC-10 AR operations
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with test of either KC-46, KC-10 or KC-135 AR systems that resulted in AR clearances
