We are actively seeking a Cloud Architect to join a 10–15 person team supporting Department of Health and Human Services.
The purpose of the HHS Zero Trust Program Management Office (ZT PMO) effort is to assist in the implementation of the HHS Zero Trust Architecture. This initiative is crucial for enhancing the cybersecurity posture of HHS by transitioning to a "zero trust" security model, which mandates continuous verification of each user, device, application, and transaction.
The Cloud Architect is responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining reference architectures, reference implementations, standard operating procedures and technical guidelines and standards to facilitate secure Cloud practices throughout HHS and its operating divisions (FDA, CDC, NIH, etc.). The Cloud Architect will also lead the design and implementation of the Cloud architecture that the team will leverage as a sandbox for evaluating tools for applicability, compatibility, and use in the HHS environment. This includes establishing infrastructure as code to emulate HHS and OpDiv technical environments to rapidly establish the test beds required to assess new tools under consideration.
