Credence is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Managed Services Practice. This position will provide an opportunity to work with an experienced team of Cloud Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Cybersecurity professionals. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow their career in the Cloud space by honing their cloud knowledge and skillset. This position is based in Credence’s corporate headquarters located in Tyson’s Corner in Vienna, VA.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years related technical work experience
Ability to work and produce results in an agile and fast-paced environment with dynamic deadlines.
Familiarity with basic cloud concepts (EC2/VM, service based databses, Infrastructure as code, Virtual Networking, etc.)
Proficiency/Familiarity with Python
Familiarity with JSON or YAML object writing
Understanding of orchestration tools (Jenkins, chef, puppet, ansible, or AWS SSM or codepipeline preferred)
Familiarity with common protocols including but not limited to: DNS, SMTP, HTTP(s), SFTP, SCP
Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, OCI, GCP, Azure, Private Clouds etc.)
Familiarity with Active Directory and/or other LDAP based solutions.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with SysAdmin scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript)
AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Associate Level Certification
Experience automating tasks in a cloud or on premise environment.
Experience with migrating workloads to the cloud
