Credence is hiring an Acquisitions Logistics Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting HQ AFMC/A4/10 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. 

 

The Headquarters Air Force Material Command Directorate of Logistics, Civil Engineering, Force Protection, and Nuclear Integration (HQ AFMC/A4/10) has the AFMC mission responsibility to: shape the workforce and infrastructure to provide logistics, sustainment, and installation support for acquisition logistics, supply management, depot maintenance, and base-level logistics operations, and deliver responsive strategic facility and infrastructure oversight and over-arching direction for all Major Command (MAJCOM) security operations…resulting in war-winning expeditionary capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Assist the Government with management and conduct of enterprise asset management program tasks, which optimizes supply support to the warfighter and its costs.
  • Support development of and provide recommendations for changes to supply policy, to include development and maintenance of various automated tools and user guides and handbooks.
  • Assist with tracking of and maintain currency of policy and procedural publications.
  • Assist with conducting procedural reviews on existing materiel management systems and supply chain processes; develop new procedures and recommend changes for inclusion in AF, DoD, and AFMC supply chain and logistics publications.
  • Support the Government with development and implementation of contractor supported weapon system programs, and with integration of peculiar supply support assets for new weapon system and modifications to existing weapon systems into the AF supply support structure utilizing a contractor as the inventory control point and source of supply.
  • Assist the Government with ensuring ILS-S objectives are considered on assigned programs and projects.
  • Participate in development of plans to ensure comprehensive consideration of all factors that impact SCM.
  • Perform AO support from the standpoint of life cycle cost and assist the Government with ensuring optimal use of resources without degrading operational readiness.
  • Support coordination and integration of all aspects of logistics management to effectively assist in SCM activities, program development and implementation.
  • Assist HQ AFMC/A4/10 in conducting a supply chain metrics program, to include providing assistance with maintaining the current supply chain metrics program and providing assistance in the continuous transformation of the AF supply chain metrics program to ensure the relevance of its performance measurement and reporting as the AF transforms the supply system and its companion processes to optimize warfighter support.
  • Provide management and technical support services in administering a wide variety of interservice initiatives and the AF Logistics Reassignment (LR) program.
  • Assist with evaluation of and recommend modifications to interservice SCM documentation including but not limited to DoD, AF, AFMC, and centers such as interservice support plans, policy, instructions, manuals, and guides.
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to AF LR SCM documentation (DoD, AF, command level and centers) plans, policy, instructions, manuals, and guides, as directed by the Government functional manager.
  • Catalog stock number data in the Federal Logistics Information System.
  • Order, turn-in and requisition at the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and SCS (D035).
  • Compute reparable stock levels in the wholesale and retail logistics management systems and return unserviceable carcasses to the primary inventory control activity.
  • Identify, make recommendations and assist with implementation of LR business process improvements under the Consumable Item Program and the Non-Consumable Item Program.
  • Support for FIAR, including but not limited to:
    • Assist the HQ AFMC/A4/10 Offices of Primary Responsibility (OPR) with managing the systems evaluation.
    • Provide procedural and policy recommendations required to comply with FIAR as mandated in the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Section 1003.
    • Assist with other strategic and policy requirements.
    • Conduct technical evaluations of business rules inherent in AF legacy logistics financial information systems.
    • Assist with development of functional requirements, including but not limited to:
      • Draft requirements documentation, conduct reviews, perform functional research and technical analysis, and develop test scenarios.
      • Coordinate with interfacing partners and other external and internal stakeholders for Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) for critical asset management of working capital inventories, general supplies and equipment, Government Furnished Property (GFP) / Government Furnished Materiel (GFM), and munitions to ensure compliance with FIAR as well as other DoD and AF regulatory policies and procedures.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Clearance: Secret or ability to obtain a Secret
  • BS/BA and three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with AF Supply Chain Management (SCM) acquisition logistics support
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of AF enterprise supply processes outlined in AFI 23-101, Air Force Materiel Management, and AFMAN 23-122, Materiel Management Procedures. Contractor personnel
  • Have working level experience with the Stock Control System (SCS) (D035A/C/K/L), Secondary Item Requirements System (D200A), Distribution Standard System (DSS), and Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S)
  • Experience applying logistics knowledge on interservice policies/processes to support requisitioning under Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) agreement processes.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • May be required to lift 50 lbs.
  • May be required to stand and walk two (2) hours a day
  • Some travel may be required
