We are actively seeking an experienced Program Protection lead who will be primarily responsible for supporting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Rapid Sustainment Office Wright- Patterson AFB, OH. 

 

RSO’s mission is to advance the SECAF’s direction and “…leverage mature, new, and emerging technology to reduce sustainment costs and improve readiness…” The RSO will play a role in sustainment analogous to a research laboratory in development. Its customer base—the logistics and sustainment enterprise—should come to view RSO as their center of excellence for identifying, maturing, and transitioning technologies with traceable and measurable readiness impacts, cost reductions, and ease of use. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Assist with developing and maintaining time-phased, event-driven Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Security Directives (PSDs), Technology Assessment and Control Plans (TA/CPs), and Program Protection Plans (PPPs).
  • Assist with establishing/facilitating the System Security Working Group (SSWG), or other security-related Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), for the preparation of program security standards.
  • Develop and distribute working group minutes, and ensure all applicable documentation is properly coordinated and maintained.
  • Assist with identifying program funding for program protection planning and system security activities and system components.
  • Assist with identifying all plans, designs, processes, equipment, procedures, materials, and/or information that must be protected to ensure uncompromised effectiveness throughout a system’s and/or capability life cycle.
  • Ensure the security of the system or capability throughout its life cycle and the protection of sensitive, classified, Controlled Unclassified, and Critical Program Information (CPI).
  • Support the development of security requirements into contractual documentation to include specific security requirements in Statements of Work/Statements of Objectives, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists as well as evaluating source selection criteria and proposal evaluation for assigned programs.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives in concert with cyberspace operations personnel within the program offices.
  • Assist with developing or evaluating system security risk assessments and analysis, security threats, and vulnerabilities, and provide program management with options and resource requirements for mitigating the risks.
  • Support Supply Chain Risk Management initiatives and develop, through collaboration with Logistics managers, critical component identification and analysis, requirements for supplier reviews, and recommend alternative cost-effective security countermeasures that meet security objectives within the capability or system design.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Clearance: Secret
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years (5) of which must be in the DoD OR,
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD OR,
  • Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • May be required to lift 15 lbs.
  • May be required to stand and walk two (2) hours a day
  • Some travel may be required
